Miritish Studio & Gallery is located in the beautiful Upper Arkansas River Valley near the Colorado mountain town of Salida. In addition to being a first-rate community for the arts, Salida enjoys easy access to world-class white-water rafting and kayaking, skiing (Monarch Ski Area), biking, and hiking. Trailheads for 32 of Colorado's 54 fourteen-thousand-foot peaks are within a two hour drive of Salida.

The name "Miritish" has been coined from a three-word Russian phrase that can be translated as "Peace and Quiet", which mirrors the tranquility of our lovely setting.
