A kayak excursion down Florida's Crystal River reveals serene and relaxing scenes like this, with perhaps an occasional manatee popping its nose out of the water to see what's up. This scene is very near where the Crystal River flows into the Gulf of Mexico.

Browns Creek Falls
Located west of Salida at the base of Mount Shavano in the upper Arkansas River valley, Brown's Creek spills its snow-melt waters from the Continental Divide into the valley below. The falls shown here are the reward for a 90-minute hike through pine forests and sub-alpine glens.
